From data to decisions: IBM watsonx empower CARIAD with innovative analytics tool

IBM developed an innovative data showcase tailored for CARIAD. This cutting-edge solution leverages voice, GenAI, and the Apple Vision Pro to query and visualize data analyses, catering to various personas with unique roles, rights, and user groups. A voice-based assistant enables users to query data analysis from defined sources using natural language, with results displayed as chart or within a dashboard, based on their login persona. In this dialogue we will discuss how this development helps to make data more accessible and user-friendly, transforming the way stakeholders interact with and understand vehicle data, empowering stakeholders to generate data-driven answers to their questions without relying on specialized experts like data analysts and data scientists.

11.30-12.00

Revolutionizing automotive customer service: Audi Interaction & IBM’s innovative voice bot solution

Audi Interaction started its voicebot journey more than two years ago, using genAI to implement an intent based voicebot. After a successful go-live and upcoming new developments around agentic AI, Audi Interaction started a pilot with IBM to explore possibilities in this area. Given the massive potential of agentic AI, the vision is clear: heading to an unsupervised integrated usage of AI agents to unburden employees and drive customer satisfaction.

13.30-14.00

In-Vehicle OS and Edge: Reving up SDV Transformation through Open Collaboration

The success of realizing the SDV vision hinges not only on software technology within the vehicle, but creating a cloud-to-car seamless continuum, requiring organizational and process changes as well. Embracing modern cloud-native software and agile, devops practices will greatly ease the effort. Employing shift-left virtual development and validation, on public clouds and virtual platforms can give teams a significant head start on time to deployment, with effective separation of hardware and software dependencies. Open source truly aligns with and jump starts the continuous innovation approach SDV requires, while still effectively meeting safety requirements.

14.00-14.30

AI in Motion: Reinventing automotive services and aftersales

Generative and Agentic AI are redefining the vehicle ownership experience—transforming every stage of the lifecycle, from after-sales and service operations to fleet management, over-the-air updates, and next-generation mobility services. For the automotive industry, these technologies offer a powerful opportunity: to reduce operational costs, accelerate responsiveness, and deepen customer loyalty. As hardware margins tighten and service excellence becomes a key competitive edge, AI-driven innovation is emerging as a critical lever for sustainable growth and differentiation.

14.30-15.00

Eclipse Foundation: Driving Software-defined Vehicles with Open Collaboration

The complexity of next generations of software defined vehicles require a new approach to software and system designs as the current methods are no longer scalable or sustainable. The general consensus has pointed to Open Source for some time, but there has been a lack of such operationalization for a common platform. Hosted by Eclipse Foundation and initiated by key innovators in the industry, including BMW, Mercedes Benz, ETAS and Qorix, the S-CORE project aims to revolutionize the future of SDV design. This panel will discuss the progress and potential of S-CORE and share their perspectives of enabling open collaboration for mutual success.

15.00-15.30

Industry Applications: Toward quantum utility in the automotive industry

Quantum computing has the potential to revolutionize the automotive industry by accelerating materials discovery and optimizing manufacturing processes. Many automotive engineering, design, and production practices are based on complex systems that classical computers struggle to model accurately or efficiently. Quantum computers show promise for simulating real materials with greater precision and solving large-scale optimization problems too difficult for classical computers alone. Possible applications for the mobility sector include EV battery design, predictive maintenance, quality control, and factory scheduling—critical problems that help ensure the stability, safety, and efficiency of vehicle production.

15.30-16.00

The most innovative showroom in the world: How Volkswagen, TikTok, MONKEYWAY and IBM transform customer interaction

Volkswagen, TikTok, MONKEYWAY and IBM joined forces to revolutionize car buying by transforming vehicle configuration into an engaging, swipe-based experience. This innovative concept aims to meet next-gen buyers in their preferred digital environment, driving leads through creative storytelling and interactive content.
